MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Mechanical engineering is one of our traditional areas of expertise, and one in which we have been successful from the beginning.

Our experienced project leaders are there to support customers with help and advice on any questions they have. This results in an effective, solution-oriented project team.

Our customers come from all fields of mechanical engineering and plant construction. This presents us with new challenges on a daily basis in terms of new materials (e.g., machining monel or Super Duplex steels) or geometries.

After an order is received, the work preparation team checks the manufacturing documentation and produces the working documents. This results in optimum manufacturing processes.

Strict quality assurance, supported by our master production engineers, ensures top quality in accordance with your specifications (as well as DIN, EN, ISO, laws, etc.)

Machining

Turning, milling, and cutting technologies

Machining in the field of mechanical engineering requires, along with trained and motivated personnel, a high degree of precision in the machines used.

At Maschinen- und Industriebau Feld, we have access to a great number of metal-processing machines.

From screw-cutting lathes to conventional milling machines for our apprentices, through to the latest turning and milling centers, our machinery provides everything we need to ensure smooth production in line with the customer's requirements. Complex geometries can be processed on our CNC boring mills with workpieces of up to 16 t.

Another advantage of our long experience in mechanical engineering is the range of materials that we can process in our company. As well as normal structural and automation steels, we are also able to safely and precisely machine even the trickiest materials, such as Duplex (1.4462) or Monel (2.4360).

Welding Work

MIG, MAG, TIG, Arc Welding, and SAW

Together with our specialist welding engineers, our certified welders achieve top quality in the MIG, MAG, TIG, arc welding, and SAW processes. Under the supervision of our welding experts, our certified welders weld everything from simple structural steels (e.g., S235, S355) to demanding materials such as 1.4571, S460 PN, and S690 PN and mixed compositions such as 10CrMo910 with 21CrMoV5 for power-plant technology.

Certified according to DIN EN 1090-2 EXC3, we also hold ourselves to the highest standards. We have extended this certificate with authorization for pressure vessels (EN 3834-2 and AD 2000 Data Sheet HP0).

In addition, we have the subsequent authorizations according to DIN 18808 (Hollow-section supporting structures without tube joints), DIN 15018 (Cranes), and DIN 4132 (Crane runways, steel structures).

We manufacture welded assemblies of up to 80 t in weight for all branches of industry, as well as steel construction, mechanical engineering, and plant construction.
