| ◾ | Rope sheave arrangement of block and tackle ensures increasing closing force as grab closes; the maximum is reached when the grab is closed |
| ◾ | High span width (up to 8 m) means it is not necessary to bury the grab |
| ◾ | Good degree of filling is achieved even with residual loads |
| ◾ | Favorable ratio of unladen weight to safe working load |
| ◾ | Rope fastener is higher than on normal double-rope grabs |
